How to pay
Face to face sessions are preferable paid in cash. While payment for online sessions are preferably taken by direct bank transfer, but I can also accept payment via PayPal. Payment must be made at least 24 hours before the online session starts.
In your initial assessment I will ask you for some background information about yourself, your circumstances and the issue(s) that has brought you to see me.
It may sound obvious, but it can be helpful to think about how you might answer the question 'what has brought you to counselling?' before your appointment.
While I do ask as a courtesy that you give me 24 hours notice of any cancellation, I will not be charging a cancellation fee for online sessions. However, I do reserve the right to refuse further sessions in the event of multiple short notice cancellations.
For face to face sessions I do charge a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. This means if, for any reason, you cancel on the day of your appointment the full session fee will still be owed. I understand that this can be frustrating, however, your appointment time is reserved specifically for you every week, if you are not able to attend the session then I am unable to offer that time to somebody else. The cancellation fee covers the costs of reserving that appointment for you.
